A recording artist, audio engineer, and record producer born and raised in Southwest Houston, with his hunger for business being groomed in the streets of Southern California.

His gained business perspective allowed him to package his rap lyrics which contained punchy, interactive flows, unique, melodic approaches to hooks and harmonization, into a  mixtape called “Makin’ Cake 4rm Scratch”. Through direct marketing, D-WATS moved over 15,000 copies hand to hand while living in Chula Vista, California. He worked with DJ Mixx, of the 2 Live Crew, L Boogie of 64 Productions, and many other known producers and artists across the country. 

Now back in his hometown Houston, TX, D-WATS is independently poised to take over right where he left off. With a vibrant original sound, his own production team, multiple studios, his own marketing firm, and a deep bag of bars, he ironically unlocks his audience to the newest vibe that already existed. 

D-WATS unravels the winding maze of the pursuit of success as an independent music and media mogul while juggling the trials of family life, societal issues, and the adversities pressing against one evolving from the streets to the skies of corporate America.
